Lead Software Engineer – Productivity Tools

SEL has ambitious goals for developing products that make electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical. When open-source or off-the-shelf development tools don't meet the unique needs of our engineering domains, we will call on you to rapidly create and scale high-quality, custom solutions. As a Lead Software Engineer joining a new productivity tools team, you'll be responsible for improving existing tools, collaborating on a roadmap of new tools, training users, and shaping team culture. In 6-12 months, you'll be exceeding the expectations of internal customers and improving their productivity by 2-10x. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Drive R&D quality and productivity through innovative, custom software tools. - Lead the full application lifecycle of those tools with documented artifacts. - Strategize automated test, release readiness, and post-release support. - Define, adopt, and continuously improve development processes. - Mentor software engineers, associate engineers, and interns.
