Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience. - 4 years of experience working with optical systems modeling, systems design and integration, including experimental or laboratory work. - Experience in optical design software (e.g., Zemax, CodeV, LightTools, Rsoft, Lumerical or similar). Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP). - 5 years of industry experience with optical systems modeling, systems design and integration, including experimental or laboratory work. - Familiarity with augmented reality/near-eye displays and overall display systems. - Ability to build relatively complex modeling tools from scratch/fundamentals. - Expertise in at least one of the following optical modeling tools: FDTD (e.g. Lumerical), RCWA (e.g. S4), Ray-tracing (e.g. CodeV or Zemax OpticStudio). - Highly proficient in Python/C++.
