Job Description: Primary Responsibility Under the supervision of the Fire Science Technology Assistant Dean of Instruction and the Faculty, the Fire Science Technician will work in concert with the faculty to provide quality learning experiences for fire science students. This position is expected to engage with students in both a classroom setting and a laboratory setting including live fire. The Fire Science Technician will identify the individual learning needs of Fire Science students and teach students to increase their performance on various tasks . *This is a part-time position which is limited to 28 hours per CMC’s workweek. CMC’s workweek is Saturday through Friday. Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards): Education and experience sufficient to meet the rigors of the position. Examples may include Education or Training: The ideal candidate for this position will hold Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control Certifications in: Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Hazardous Material Operations & Technician, Fire and Emergency Services Instructor I, or Fire Instructor I.
