POSITION SUMMARY: Performs duties of an MRI Technologist to achieve efficient, high quality patient care. Education: High School graduate or its equivalent. Graduate of an approved two year Radiology training Program. Experience: - MRI experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Must have the ability to function as a team member and the ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with patients, staff members and physicians. License/Certification/Registration: Registered with the ARRT. - Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives general supervision from the Supervisor, Imaging Services and the Section Head of MRI. SUPERVISION GIVEN: None:  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Performs patient care/technical duties in an accurate and timely fashion. - Greets each patient in a pleasant manner and provides excellent customer service to the patients, families and other staff members they come in contact with. - Evaluates request for correctness of examinations ordered.
