The Cardiac Surgical Stepdown unit is in search of a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a part-time Patient Care Assistant (PCA). Ellison 8, is a thirty-six bed adult Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Unit., located in Boston, MA. Patients are primarily admitted post operatively from the Blake 8 - Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Patients are also admitted pre-op for cardiac surgery. Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic disease, congenital heart disease, lethal arrhythmias, S/P coronary bypass graft, S/P valve replacement, ACID placement, and permanent pacemaker placement.
