Emergency Room Tech

Job description

The emergency room technician (ERT) works under the direction of Registered Nurses or ED Clinicians to assist in the delivery of patient care within the emergency department (ED). The ERT performs fundamental patient care tasks, specific treatments, and procedures, maintains a clean and stocked environment of care, communicates patient care findings and performs duties as assigned by RNs or ED Clinicians. Work Schedule: 0.6 FTE, 12- hour shifts (10am-10:30pm) includes every 3rd weekend rotation. Required Qualifications: Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively. Must have one of the following: - High school diploma or equivalent - Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered - Current BLS – American Heart Association or BLS – American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider) - Minimum one year (2080 hours) experience in ER Tech position. - Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation. - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Demonstrates basic computers skills or the ability to achie...
