Automation Systems Engineer

Job description

Overview The Automation Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining HMI and visualization systems used to monitor and control our industrial beef processing sites. This role works closely with PLC and controls engineers to integrate equipment into plant automation systems and improve system performance. The role is based at our corporate office located approximately 10 minutes from the manufacturing facility, allowing regular collaboration with plant operations. Relocation assistance available. Responsibilities: HMI & Visualization Development: - Design, develop, and maintain HMI graphics used to monitor and control plant processes. - Configure HMI systems to communicate with PLCs and automation equipment. - Improve existing graphics for usability, clarity, and operational efficiency. Automation System In tegration: - Support integration of new equipment into the plant automation environment. - Work with controls engineers to configure tags and communication between PLCs and HMI systems. - Participate in testing and commissioning of automation system updates.
