Summary The Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to maximize business productivity by performing complex financial analysis, budget forecasting, and reporting. This position will play an important role in directing daily financial operations of the department and will monitor and report key financial metrics to departmental leadership and College stakeholders. This position will assist in process improvement initiatives related to financial performance and evaluate business development opportunities. The person in this role will regularly interact with faculty in the department and must be able to communicate effectively and professionally at all times. While the position will need to be on location at least initially, we would consider a hybrid work schedule. Job Duties: - Develop annual department budget and track performance to budget throughout the fiscal year. - Participate in budget forecasting across mission areas, investigate and report on variances to budget and forecast. - Establish financial systems to monitor and analyze expenditures, and identify areas to reduce expenses, particularly related to clinical operations. - Collaborate with key d...
