Job description

This position advises executives, leadership, board members, and employees on laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to the Credit Union. This includes regulatory compliance, contracts, litigation, insurance and risk management, intellectual property, governance, consumer and commercial lending and deposit transactions and loan documentation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and general corporate matters. This position oversees the work of outside counsel and litigation, as appropriate. This position is responsible for ensuring the Credit Union complies with all laws and regulations while still effectively accomplishing its strategic mission. Duties: Qualifications: Juris Doctorate degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school and an active member of the Idaho Bar Association. 12+ years of legal experience or corporate in-housework. Substantial knowledge of the financial services industry with understanding of lending, contracts, regulatory compliance, third party risk, examinations and board level governance.
