Job description
Assemble and weld parts and/or frames to print specifications and self-inspect finished product. - Align and clamp workpieces together, using rules, squares, or hand tools, or position items in fixtures, jigs, or vises. - Clean workpieces to remove dirt or excess acid, using chemical solutions, files, wire brushes, or grinders. - MIG or TIG along adjoining edges of workpieces using appropriate equipment. - Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using power grinders and hand tools. - Examine seams for defects and rework defective joints or broken parts.
