Work Shift Day Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 Summary: This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by enabling individuals to perform meaningful and purposeful activities across the lifespan. Occupational Therapy assists in developing, improving or restoring independence to any person who has an injury, illness, disability or psychological dysfunction. Job Description: Job Duties: - Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with the established standards of care and practice. - Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice. - Completes all documentations of services per department standards. - Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job related hazards. - Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens. - Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. - Promotes effective working relations and works e...
