OVERVIEW : A Survey Field Technician I loads and unloads equipment from truck and carries equipment to job site; cuts line with brush axe; runs a level rod to obtain elevations; holds prism pole for horizontal positions. The job requires considerable walking for long periods of time through all kinds of terrain, uneven ground and sometimes water. DURING YOUR WORK DAY, YOU WILL: - Load and unload equipment from truck and carry equipment. - Cut line with brush axe. - Run level rod to obtain elevations . - Hold prism pole for horizontal positions. - Requires a lot of walking for long periods of time through all kinds of terrain, uneven ground and sometimes water. - Some overnight travel may be required. WHAT YOU NEED: - High School/GED or equivalent. - Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry, and operate equipment as needed on the project. - Ability to travel daily. Occasional overnight travel may be required. - Work 50+ hours during busy periods. - Can work unsupervised when required. - Walking outdoors for long periods of time through all kinds of terrain, including urban, suburban, and rural locations, and working under adverse conditions (heat, cold, hills, swamps, wildlife & insects, hi...
