Description Stony Brook University is the premier academic medical center in Suffolk County, New York. The University Hospital offers the community state-of-the-art care including for patients presenting with acute psychiatric problems. Services include the only Suffolk County Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). A clinician is needed to serve as an Overnight Attending Psychiatrist in our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for psychiatric evaluation and management of patients in CPEP/ED of University Hospital. The Clinical Assistant Professor will also be responsible for teaching and supervision of medical students and residents. Overnight Schedule: Shifts totaling 40 hours per week which will consist of 4 (10 hr) Overnight shifts from 10:30pm-8:30am, which will include a weekend shift each week, holidays, along with cross coverage as necessary.
