Visiting Assistant Professor of Art (Drawing, Printmaking, Painting)

Description Knox College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Art to teach courses in drawing, printmaking, and painting beginning September 1, 2022. Applicants should have a record of work demonstrating a relevant and sustained creative practice and exhibits. Studio faculty share a range of departmental work including curriculum development, exhibit planning, studio oversight, and senior mentoring. The normal teaching load is two courses per 10 week trimester. The Department of Art and Art History is committed to the benefits of teaching art in a comprehensive liberal arts setting. Since 2016, the department has occupied the Whitcomb Art Center, an architecturally innovative facility with spacious, well equipped studios dedicated to each media area. Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary learning in the context of undergraduate education.
