Description Job Summary: Responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client’s documents and provide complete conceptual and total bid price. Job Duties: - Review and evaluate requests for estimates and project quotes, as needed - Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensure timely completion of estimates - Prepare and review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy. - Create job folders - Input take-offs of construction documents - Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid - Obtain pricing for materials - Obtain bids from subcontractors - Prepare cost analysis in NEFCO’s Enterprise Resource Planning System, Eclipse, by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead cost incurred in the installation of strut grid projects. - Make an estimate where predetermined standards are not available - Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database - Develop and maintain cost data, including labor, equipment, and production rates - Maintain estimating procedures and guidelines - Develop and maintain re...
