Job DetailsJob Location: 91 - New York, NY 10128Salary Range: $11,357.00 - $67,443.00 Salary/yearMUS Orchestra Teacher Part Time (percentage TBD) to begin August 2026 Spence’s Performing Arts Department seeks an accomplished and visionary educator to join the school’s music program as Orchestra Director. This role requires an understanding of the importance, scope, and impact of performances within the school community. The Orchestra Director will collaborate closely with Performing Arts colleagues to advance the department’s mission of nurturing imagination and self-expression in a collaborative environment. We believe that active participation in and exposure to the arts broadens horizons, fosters empathy, and enriches students’ lives both at Spence and beyond. Responsibilities: Conduct three Middle and Upper School orchestras Direct and produce two instrumental performances annually Oversee the care and maintenance of school-owned instruments Collaborate with music faculty across divisions to coordinate and implement curriculum Partner with school leadership and the Performing Arts Department on major events Manage NYSSMA participation Attend faculty, departmental, and team meet...
