The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West Region. Opportunity to work in a unique area of covert policing, using human intelligence sources to target SOC criminality within the prison walls and out in the wider community. Leading a small team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside all NW forces, HMPPS and CTPNW in a bid to provide key intelligence to meet individual operational objectives. The clandestine nature of the unit often goes unrecognised, but their contribution cannot be underestimated in the value added to investigations and intelligence gathering, often in time critical situations. The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organised crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales. The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s serious and organised Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm.
