Job Description: Title : Bus Driver Job Codes: 14501OH; 14501XX (Florida) Division : Senior Living Status : Non-Exempt Reports to: Manager Revision date: March 2019 Supervises: n/a PURPOSE: According to the prescribed policies and procedures and under the general supervision of the individual responsible for coordinating transportation at the facility, the Bus Driver assumes the responsibility for safely operating the assigned company vehicles and ensuring resident/client safety while utilizing transportation services ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Drives company vehicles on scheduled and unscheduled local trips as assigned by the supervisor. - Responsible for resident/client safety while transporting, follows, safe transportation practices including utilizing all safety equipment including seatbelts, wheelchair tie-downs, etc. - Assists residents/clients when boarding and de-boarding, to ensure safety, assisting with packages, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters and other assistive devices. May assist resident/client with managing walkways to and from the vehicle and the destination’s door.
