Department/Unit: Radiation Oncology Physics & Dosimetry Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $116,823.00 - $186,917.00 TITLE: Medical Dosimetrist: Requisition # 68284: POSITION IS LOCATED AT: Albany Medical Center Hospital, 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, New York 12208 Salary: Starts at or exceeds $121,326.00 annually This Medical Dosimetrist job position will pay no less than $121,326.00 and may pay up to $170,567.54 DUTIES: The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation therapy planning team, familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed, with the training and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and calculations under the directions of the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: 1) Design a treatment plan by means of computer and/or manual computation with optimal beam geometry to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and spare critical structures in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription.
