Publishing Ethics Specialist - 260116 : KNW-B20 Description: Job Summary Support the resolution of publishing ethics issues such as plagiarism, manipulation of the peer review process, and/or gaming of industry-accepted bibliometrics. IEEE's ethical and conduct processes are complex, detail-oriented, and confidential in nature. The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for processing reported publishing misconduct through IEEE's centralized Ethics Point System; leading investigations as case manager; and serving as an IEEE's subject matter expert on issues related to plagiarism and violations of the policies described in the PSPB Operations Manual. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as an IEEE Publications' subject matter expert on publishing ethics issues - Respond appropriately to all serious allegations of publishing misconduct, while playing a pivotal role as case manager in the handling and resolution of ethics issues. - Provide initial review of incoming cases to determine if allegations merit further investigation - Keep track of, and report regularly on the overall status of misconduct caseload - Explore and support methods of misconduct detection, working with tec...
