Job description

We seek a highly motivated, experienced Controller to be based at our McDavid, FL Lumber mill. The Controller, reporting to the Mill Manager, and indirectly reports to the Regional Finance Accountant, is a key part of plant management providing analytical support for all financial decisions. Principal Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: - Responsible for managing site month end close and reporting, all reconciliations and account analysis. - Responsible for ensuring site inventory counts are being performed and variances explained. - Responsible for completing weekly/monthly/annual forecasts for the site and corporate FP&A. - Responsible for completing weekly cost & other ad hoc analysis to assist the site in meeting its cost targets. Internal Controls: - Responsible for adhering compliance with current internal controls - Support the General Manager in enforcing site and company policies and procedures. - Support internal and external testing as required Process Management: - Support West Fraser centralized or site accounts payable, payroll and fiber procurement and as needed, residuals processes. - Drive operational and finance process improvement at the mill Candidate – Exper...
