Education: - Seminary education/degree in a pastoral ministry discipline is desirable. Other education and life experience will also be considered - Credentialed and licensed by the Christian and Missionary Alliance is preferred, but a willingness to obtain this upon hiring would be acceptable Pastoral Experience: - 5+ years of pastoral experience, preferably as a lead pastor - Demonstrated commitment to discipleship and spiritual growth within the local church is a requirement Ministry Strengths: Biblical Preacher/Teacher: - Uses the bible as the complete and inerrant authority as God’s word when preaching and teaching - Makes relevant application between scripture and life situations - Has an understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer Intercessor: - Sacrificially serves others with joy and compassion - Seeks to understand the spiritual gifts of the members of the congregation; helps encourage growth within those gifts - Considers prayer for the church and its members a vital part of his ministry - Takes time to pray for those who come with needs Discipler: - Gets to know the members of the church personally and gives appropriate and timely care to th...
