Job description

Job Summary: The Dental Practitioner 1 manages and directs dental clinical care provided by pre-doctoral dental students and delivered to patients of the dental school; mentors and advises students related to dental clinical care; upholds the LLUSD standards of care. This role may be conducted in a "pod" or "module" setting ("team") without variance on the specific duties, but the breadth of student contact may be variable. This is a faculty position that has a faculty appointment (Assistant Professor). Faculty rank will be assigned based on the School of Dentistry Rank and Tenure guidelines. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent in Dentistry required. Advanced education, general practice residency, AEGD, etc. preferred. Two years of private practice management preferred. Job level placement is determined by the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry Promotion Committee.
