Nursing Administrative Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Vice President for Patient Services assumes daily responsibility for management of Nursing Services. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manages available resources to meet the goals of the organization and department . - Maintains an awareness of interdepartmental relationships and facilitates communication to optimize patient care . - Promotes cooperation, a positive attitude and creates a safe environment for both patients and staff . - Responsible for knowing and adhering to established Hospital policies and procedures, including all aspects of safety . - They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of Nurse Administrators so classified . REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: - Current license to practice in New York State. - BSN required, Master's degree in nursing or related field highly desirable. - Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association required. - Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in Nursing.
