Terms of Employment: 10.5 months Exemption Status: Exempt Salary Scale: A4.5-A4.5D https://www.ccboe.com/careers/salary-scales OVERVIEW: School Psychologists are highly trained in both psychology and education. They must complete a minimum of a Specialist-level degree program (60 graduate semester credits) that includes a 1200-hour internship and emphasizes preparation in the following: data-based decision making, consultation, collaboration, effective instruction, child development, student diversity and development, school organization, prevention, intervention, mental health, learning styles, behavior, research, and program evaluation. QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree in Psychology required. - Applicants must possess or be able to obtain School Psychology Certification in Maryland. - Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred.
