Job DetailsJob Location: Huntington YMCA - Huntington, NY 11743Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: No degree requiredSalary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly Provide in-water support to Swim Instructors in accordance with YMCA guidelines and set lesson plans. Ensure program, staff and patrons maintain hygiene habits/practices in accordance with CDC guidelines. Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Maintain records as required (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc.). Develop positive relationship with participants and provide motivational support and guidance. Refer detailed inquiries to a supervisor. Understand and enthusiastically endorse other YMCA programs, especially other aquatic programs. Know, understand, and consistently apply safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area. Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled. Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Organize and put away needed class equipment. Report damaged equipment to supervisor.
