College: SOWELA Department: Academic Affairs: Sub department: School of Transportation & Applied Technology Type of Appointment: Unclassified - Adjunct Duties and Responsibilities: • Teaches assigned welding technology courses, and associated labs in accordance with the college’s workload policy. Required Education : • High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience : • Demonstrates proficiency in performing and teaching structural welding techniques. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Demonstrated proficiency in performing structural welds and demonstrates the ability to teach this information to students using current pedological practices. Required Licenses or Certifications : N/A Preferred Education : • Technical Diploma in Welding. Preferred Experience : • 3 years of teaching experience or military equivalent.
