Job Description: Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is currently accepting applications to meet an upcoming demand for Aerospace Structural Engineers to support the Structural and Thermal Systems Branch (STSB) at NASA Langley Research Center. These positions are expected to be onsite in Hampton, VA. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Structural, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university. Demonstrated use of Patran, FEMAP, or similar software, solve using NX or MSC Nastran, document the analysis, present/report findings, guide design and manufacturing, and verify results using testing. Models may vary from Ground Support Equipment (GSE) or test fixturing to electronic boxes, flight science instruments, flight vehicles or satellites. Analysts are required to be able to solve a variety of solutions, including but not limited to static analysis (with or without thermal loads), normal modes, random vibration, buckling, and nonlinear static analyses.
