Job Responsibilities: Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: Prefer one year work experience in a medical office setting, including management of personnel. Knowledge of medical terminology, word processing, and computer experience desirable. Internal applicants must call HR at ext. 11653 to determine eligibility before applying. - Demonstrates a deep understanding of the patient and work flow at the registration/reception area and is able to mentor and train junior staff members. - Schedules department personnel to ensure proper staffing levels. - Performs audits of registration duties to ensure quality assurance with the charge entry, registration, and check out process. - Communicates effectively with patients, employees, peers, management and medical staff to promote successful working relationships. - Greets and registers all incoming patients professionally. Handles incoming and outgoing communications concisely and in a pleasant manner. - Conducts reports and reconciliations as assigned. - Answers telephone promptly and courteously.
