Systems Planning Corporation (SPC), a subsidiary company of GAI Consultants, Inc., is seeking individuals to fill seasonal positions as Environmental Technicians serving as Bat Research Field Assistants. The work location will be various states in the Eastern United States. This position is in anticipation of more growth and is an evergreen position. This project will primarily take place between Mid-May to Mid-August. Job Duties: - Assisting qualified bat biologists in conducting presence/absence surveys for bats (which could include the performance of habitat assessments, acoustic sampling, mist-netting, radio-telemetry, portal searches, and portal trapping as necessary). - Assisting with surveys for other rare species or other environmental work as needed. - Conducting rare, threatened, and endangered bat surveys on development projects throughout the Northeast, Midwest, and the Southeast United States. - Performing field site reconnaissance, habitat assessments, acoustic sampling, acoustic analyses, mist-netting, portal searches, portal trapping, and/or radio telemetry. - Coordinating with team leaders, field supervisors, land agents, and/or landowners as required. - Assisting...
