Job Purpose: Under limited supervision, the Dispatcher coordinates and dispatches buses to ensure safe, efficient, and on time service within an assigned geographic area. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee daily routing and scheduling of buses; dispatch vehicles and provide timely route information to drivers - Monitor service to ensure on time performance and resolve route or service issues as they arise - Counsel and coach drivers and monitors on frontline service and disciplinary matters - Receive and address scheduling issues and driver concerns; resolve directly with customers when appropriate or escalate to the Operations Supervisor or Contract Manager - Manage heavy phone and radio traffic in a fast paced environment - Serve as the primary communication liaison with major contracted customers - Assist with charter reservations, billing, driver payro...
