Overview The Financial Analyst primarily supports the mission of the Finance Department by updating and maintaining financial and statistical information. The Financial Analyst proficiently uses financial data systems to produce standard and custom reports to support financial decisions throughout the hospital. Responsibilities: - Performs General Ledger account analysis, journal entries and reconciliations as assigned. - Assist in the preparation of month end financial processing including journal entries, variance analysis, reporting and recommendations for financial improvement. - Creates and maintains financial trends and based on analysis makes recommendations to leadership on how to improve financial performance and decision-making. - Gathers Authority operating statistics and ensures their accuracy and records into financial systems. - Performs special projects, feasibility studies and financial analysis associated with current and new programs. - Performs governmental and industry-specific financial and informational surveys. - Performs cash count audits. - Prepares and reconciles balance sheet and journal entries. - Provides as a back up to the payroll system and payroll p...
