Job description

Mechanical Project Designer 1 for IMEG Consultants Corp to work at our Ontario, CA loc. May work remotely a portion of each week, after initial period of fully in-person work. Engineering analysis, design, & implementation oversight of mechanical systems for vertical building industry. Train. Mentor. Lead design efforts (as Project Manager or lead engineer for low to moderate complexity projects) for analysis of HVAC, plumbing, & fire protection systems. Collab w/ senior staff for delivery of larger & high complexity projects. Use engineering software & tools to create detailed designs, specs, & calcs according to code requirements [reqs] & IMEG standards. Interact w/ clients to understand needs, gather project reqs, & communicate technical info. Build & maintain client relationships. Lead efforts in project planning, budgeting, & scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines/objectives. Document client design decisions & instructions while monitoring project design progress as related to percent complete & fee expended. Analyze engineering problems & propose solutions.
