About The Role The Manager of Software Development is the senior technical leader within the Software Development organization, reporting to the VP of Data & Analytics and Software Development. Using discretion and independent judgment, the manager oversees two product-aligned development teams, drives AI-assisted development adoption, and establishes the architectural standards and engineering culture necessary to scale the team’s output. This is a hands-on leadership role (70% technical / 30% people management). As a manager-level leader within Perry Homes’ leadership framework, the Manager is expected to shift from managing work to developing people: setting goals, monitoring progress, building team capability, identifying strengths and gaps, assigning stretch tasks that foster ownership, and actively supporting individual growth plans for Team Leads and developers alike.
