JOB SUMMARY: - Read and understand work order verifying correct substrate, bind type, ink color, and run lengths. - Learn to interpret the information on the work order and its contents. - Follow daily running order provided by Scheduling Team. - Communicate with Supervisor and Scheduling Team as needed. - Set up machine and perform quality printing and folding of text and halftone work. - Maintain high throughput by performing quick and efficient make-readies, job changeovers and folder changeovers. - Inspect for quality defects ensuring quality standards are achieved. - Maintain accurate data collections. - Understand substrate – weights, PPI, size, grain direction, coating, marking and storage. - Oversee all segments of press operation. - Ensure bundles conform to bindery needs including proper identification. - Be sure all waste is disposed of properly...
