The Senior Accountant in the Property Accounting department is responsible for maintaining the AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) records for multiple companies. This includes reviewing AFEs for correct charges, calculating and recording internal costs, and reporting of cost information. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Daily review and approval of AFEs, in-service and closing notifications - Utilize accounting guidance and policies to review AFE scopes of work for “capital vs expense” determination - Prepare and record monthly journal entries - Assist in preparation of key reports and schedules when necessary - Timely reconciliation of AFE subledger to General Ledger - Timely review and preparation of AFE billings - Provide technical guidance to others when needed - Utilize software applicatio...
