Senior Financial Analyst

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Reporting and Accounting team in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst will carry out accurate and timely external financial reporting and internal financial analysis while working with various stakeholders in the organization, including the Financial Control, Investor Relations, Legal, Tax and Financial Planning & Analysis teams. This role will be expected to contribute and support key initiatives including standardization and process improvements, including compliance with SOX and accounting standards. The Senior Financial Analyst must be a self-sufficient and proactive planner, agile to shifting priorities. - External Reporting & Financial Analysis - Support senior management by preparing detailed and succinct financial analysis to assess business performance and trends on a sector, geographic, and consolidated basis. - Prepare portions of the quarterly press release (Form 8-K), Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) and other disclosures for quarterly and annual filings (Form 10-Q/10-K). - Facilitate the SEC and SEDAR+ filing processes...
