City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift: First (Days) Overview: Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Mobility Tech for the Advanced Heart Failure Specialty Unit! Shift: Full-Time Days Shift: Education: Experience: - 2 4 bed Specialty Unit that provides high acuity cardiac care to patients with severe heart failure, pre/post heart transplant, the mechanical circulatory ventricular assist devices , and pulmonary hypertension. - Work with high tech equipment such as mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices (LVAD, BiVAD) and telemetry monitors. - Environment relies on 24 hours consistent communication and intricate interdisciplinary teamwork skills. - Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level. - High School Graduate or Equivalent - Required to have BLS within 90 days of hire and ACLS within 1 year of hire. - Healthcare experience preferred Benefits : Sentara offers an attractive array of full-time benefits to include: .
