PAY RANGE: $20.75 - $26.75 Hourly PROGRAM PREPARATION: School Year 2026-2027 After School Program Program preparations are scheduled for mid July 2026, with applicant onboarding to begin early July. LOCATION(S): - Kaimuki-Waialae YMCA ** POSITION SUMMARY: The Language Arts Tutor supports students’ academic growth while also serving as a positive, engaging mentor. The Tutor helps make reading and writing approachable, encouraging, and fun. When academic support is not in session, the Tutor actively engages with students through games, conversations, and enrichment activities, building strong relationships, boosting confidence, and creating a welcoming space where youth feel supported and motivated to learn. Tutors may also take on leadership responsibilities, support junior staff, and contribute ideas that enhance program activities and student engagement. Language Arts Tutors report directly to the Site Coordinator.
