Role Description: The Facilities Maintenance Technician (FMT) is a skilled, multi-trade position responsible for the construction, maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of all physical infrastructure at the Swamp Tactical Training Center. This role goes beyond standard facilities maintenance - the FMT is embedded in an active tactical training environment serving U.S. military units, law enforcement agencies, and private operators. In addition to traditional trades work, the FMT provides direct range operations support alongside the Range Safety Officer (RSO), ensures training infrastructure is fabricated and maintained to exact operational specifications, and applies a working understanding of range safety doctrine in a live-fire environment.
