Overview Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a detail-oriented IT System Administrator with Cyber Security experience to support our federal customer in the Washington DC area. The candidate will work with the government customer to support the review and implementations of system security configurations, policies, and procedures for the federal customer’s IT Systems. This is a hybrid role with 1 day a week on site or as the customer requires. *Due to the nature of the work and contract - US Citizenship is required. *This position requires 1 day/week onsite - candidates not local to the DC area and/or not willing to go onsite 1 day per week will not be considered. Responsibilities: - Collaborating with IT Operations team to properly harden operating systems and applications, specifically with CIS Benchmarks. - Reviewing and validating controls in outlined in NIST 800-53 Rev 5, applied via Microsoft GPOs and other methods. - Developing SOPs on security configuration processes and procedures. - Performing security product reviews of IT products and assisting with Change Management security reviews. - Supporting the Network Operations/Firewall teams with security baseline...
