DEPARTMENT: Service Extension POSITION TITLE: Food Bank Coordinator: STATUS: Regular Part-Time/ Non-Exempt: SCOPE OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Center Coordinator, the Food Bank Coordinator oversees the operations of the Food Bank, including but not limited to recruiting, training, and coordination of volunteers, purchasing, restocking, ordering, preparing food, overseeing costs and quality control, coordination of food deliveries, monthly statistics, and reports as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Demonstrate a commitment to the values of equity and inclusion by honoring diverse characteristics and expressions of personal identity. - Screen clients for emergency referrals as appropriate - Maintain the food program standards at the highest level, including but not limited to WA food health and safety standards and compliance with grants and contracts. - Maintains food inventory with FIFO standards. - Placing orders with vendors as well as purchasing food and non-food items from local stores, precuring and managing donated food. - Assist with volunteer recruitment, coordination, training, and retention. - Train, schedule, and provides daily oversite and c...
