Part Time Sewing & Production Assistant

Job description

Hourly Wage: $20.62 DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY: Support production operations by performing fabric cutting, providing sewing training, preparing patterns, and conducting basic sewing machine maintenance to ensure efficient and high-quality output RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: •Accurately position patterns on fabric and trace design outlines within designated swatch areas •Cut fabric pieces precisely according to traced patterns and specifications •Bundle and prepare cut components for transfer to the sewing department •Assemble fabric swatches onto pre-printed cardstock, label, package, and prepare materials for shipment •Assist with fulfillment of swatch cards and other promotional material orders in a timely manner •Train Fabric Sewers on new product sewing techniques and production processes •Inspect materials and finished components for quality and report any product defects or documentation discrepancies to the Team Leader or management •Perform routine mechanical maintenance and basic troubleshooting on sewing machines in accordance with established maintenance schedules •Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly...
