Position: Geographic Information System (GIS) Coop Student Salary: Grade 4, Non Union ($24.51/hr) Position Group: (Position Group assessment required) Reports to: Division Leader – Community Planning Purpose of Position: Working in the Community Planning Division, the Geographic Information System (GIS) Coop Student role will be responsible for maintaining, editing and creating digital data through special projects for the Municipality of Lakeshore. This position will provide geographic information to various departments within the Municipality and will assist in regular workflows and projects. Qualifications & Experience: - Must be currently enrolled in a College or University in the field of Geography, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technologist, Computer Science or related field of study; - ESRI ArcGIS suite of products or certificate in GIS, is preferred. Knowledge & Skills: - Working knowledge and experience in various software applications including Microsoft Applications such as ESRI ArcGIS suite of products, Office 365, Windows Operating Systems and Servers and SQL Server; - Attention to detail required in creation of maps and in editing of spatial features within the databas...
