Home Care Support Worker

Job description

The Home Care Support Worker provides culturally safe, practical support that helps Aboriginal Elders and people living with disability live independently, safely and confidently at home and in the community. The role has two scopes: SCHADS Level 2 (non-personal care — domestic assistance, meals, social support and community participation) and SCHADS Level 3 (personal care — for qualified, competent workers authorised to provide basic personal care). All workers follow support plans and must escalate any concerns to the Care Partner Lead or Clinical Nurse Lead. Role classification: Multiple positions available — SCHADS Level 2 or SCHADS Level 3 (based on qualifications, competency and assigned duties). Full-time, part-time and casual options available.
