Network Operator

Job description

We’re seeking a Network Operator on a 12 months fixed-term position, to work in our busy control room to redirect traffic flow, coordinate response teams, and relay critical info to keep our roads safe, all while remaining naturally composed and alert at all times. You’ll join an innovative team, who tirelessly monitor the flow of the traffic with an eagle eye and respond with lightning speed in the event of incidents, both big and small. As our Network Operator, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work. Day-to-day, you will: Operate intelligent transport systems (ITS), including CCTV, AID, and road management platforms, to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow across open roads and tunnels Coordinate with emergency services, field crews, and internal teams to manage incidents such as breakdowns, accidents, and hazards—minimising disruption and ensuring public safety Incident Management and Traffic Management plans will become second nature to you, you will create these with ease to ensure our roads run more efficiently and safely when things don’t go to plan Your curious m...
