Summary of Position : The Seasonal College Intern - Events and Special Initiatives will develop skills in nonprofit program management and event planning. The Seasonal College Intern - Events and Program Initiatives position will provide support to aspects of After School Matters programming including event planning and execution for donor stewardship events; fundraising events; events relating to programs that are specially funded by a corporation or partners (for example, ComEd, Peoples Gas, Related Midwest and Related Affordable Foundation). The intern will gain a broad exposure to the inner workings of a high-functioning nonprofit organization, and will develop skills in event planning, donor relations, and nonprofit fundraising. The intern will assist the Development team in overall administration and logistics of event planning and execution. This role will perform work directly related to the general business operations of After School Matters. Location : Prudential Tower - 103 E. Randolph.
