Job description
The successful candidate will provide leadership, training, and development to hourly personnel by managing the process flow, resources and workforce to meet and exceed established budgets and performance objectives. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent in this full-time role, the successful candidate will lead a maintenance crew of Millwrights, Electricians, Welders and Contractors. Higher consideration will be granted to those who have previous experience in the wood remanufacturing sector in a Sawmill, Planer Mill or with forest products. What You Will Do: - Achieving Maintenance goals with the highest regard for employee safety - Capable of supporting troubleshooting & observations of machine centers with shift supervisors and other maintenance staff to ensure production and quality standards are met - Managing the department cost in an aggressive manner assuring optimum manufacturing unit cost; develop and educate key metrics. - Maintenance Planning, planning non-emergency maintenance, coordinating PM routes - Effectively communicating goals and/or instructions - Managing conflicts - Supervising Maintenance and Cleanup personnel on varying schedules - Managing...
