POSITION SUMMARY: Are you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working on private aircraft? Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for Apprentice Upholstery Technicians to join our team for a career-focused, “earn while you learn”, on-the-job experience. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with: - Fabrication, repair, modification and refurbishment of aircraft seats, divans, sidewalls, and associated components - Re-upholstery of panels, liners, and sidewalls to high degrees of quality and safety - Learn to operate industrial, single, multi-needle sewing machines, sergers, overlocks, piping or binding machines - Work with high-grade leather materials - Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other illustrations or work instructions with some assistance - Learn to plan, prepare, and cut materials to standardized patterns for stitching and fitting to specific requirements - Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignments - Must support all company policies and safety programs to include Transport Canada regulations - Communicate effectively with other personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers an...
