Job description

The specialist has knowledge in the HR Field that is used to practice independent judgment and discretion to support internal customer groups. This role provides advice and counsel on Human Resource related areas such as employee relations, labor relations, contract administration, staffing, wage and salary administration, employee benefits, employee service programs, record maintenance, performance management, and HR policies. The specialist acts as a subject matter expert in Tier 2 of the HR Service Delivery Model. Core Responsibilities: - Respond to employees with individual questions regarding Human Resource matters. Complex questions may require collaboration with other departments or escalation to a subject matter expert. - Demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor, exhibiting positivity and confidence when interacting with employees. - Provide consistent advice on Human Resource Policies, Procedures & Practices (PPP), and other Company policies. - Advise employees on compliance with corporate drug and alcohol testing programs, controlling lost time, accurately reporting excused time, NYS leave, FMLA and NYESSTA laws, FLSA, Human Resource PPPs, Company policies, and HR...
